Catch the vision... keep the Vision

Vision: natural ability to see.

Spiritual (God given) vision: supernatural ability to see far and beyond.

What you can see, you can have. God told Abraham, the land which you see, I will give you. (Gen 13:14-18)

How far are you seeing today? When you embrace a vision, the vision will embrace you. It is not you that makes the vision, but it is the vision that makes you.

Vision is going to make you.

Vision will prepare you.

Vision will change you and help you.

Catch the vision….

Where there is no vision people parish. Prov 29:18

Vision keeps the church united and active.

Church that follows the vision of the pastor will not be in maintenance mode. (Because they are not following man but following his divine vision).

One vision will keep the church going in one direction.

Every pastor has a call of God. Every call has a purpose.

Purpose is usually shown through a vision.

I pray that God will remind someone of his call and the vision.

Visionary pastor will have a missionary congregation

Vision is usually huge, impossible and unachievable through human strength.

Remember:

  • God called Noah and gave him the vision of Ark.
  • God called Abraham and gave him a vision of nations.
  • God called Moses gave him the vision of Canaan.
God is reminding someone here about his huge, impossible and unachievable vision… if that person is you…. Write down the vision…. It will give you strength (Hab 2:2)

Share the vision (Church should know their pastor’s vision)
Noah’s family accepted his vision and they were saved…. Vision saves.

New world began…. Vision gives new beginning.

Lot was blessed because he walked with Abraham. Vision draws blessings.

Maybe at the moment you don’t have a vision, till you receive one accept the vision of a visionary and be part of blessing like Noah’s family and Lot.

Constant sharing is important.
Moses constantly shared the vision of Canaan with the people of Israel in Egypt.

None of them been to the promised land. Yet,

  • Shared Vision gave them hope in bondage.
  •  Shared Vision of Canaan kept them strong.
  • Vision gave them courage to rebel against mighty pharaoh.
  • Maybe they visualized Milk and honey while eating their dry morsel.

Sharing and accepting pastor’s vision can give the congregation hope, strength and courage.

Keep the vision

"Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him." Isa 51:2

Let’s do the case study on Abraham

God spoke to Abraham,

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: Gen 12:2

When made this covenant with Abraham, He was 75 years old. (V.4)

Remember age is just a number. God can use anyone at any point of time in his life.

At the age of 86 years Abraham became father of Ishmael (God will hear) through Hagar. (Gen 16:16)

First encounter at the age of 75, father at 86. One year of pregnancy so it took 10 years for Abraham to be the father.

In ten years, Abraham became established person, got separated from Lot, rescued Lot… meaning he had powerful army.

Gen 15 Abraham already made up his mind to adopt Eliezer, that his steward will be his heir. (V2)

DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR VISION
Because we cannot give birth let us adopt.

God says,

V 4 he shall not be the heir V. 5 Showed (visualize) him the stars v.6 Abraham believed.

When you share the vision don’t allow others to tear the vision.

Lot walked with Abraham and he was blessed. Sarah tried to modify the vision

Gen 16:1-2 sometimes we are impatient like Abraham and Sarah and impatience bring forth Ishmael.

Keep the vision…. Write it down… keep sharing it.

As you continue to hold the vision, God will start giving you clarity.

God made it plain and clear that your seed will be from Sarah.

Gen 18:10,14 Next year Sarah shall have be with son.

Season of Sarah of coming over…. once barren, now mother of nations.
