Year 2026, year of rebuilding.

Nehemiah is a rebuilder (building again)
who are you building today?
someone somewhere needs rebuilding. rebuilding of faith, business, relationship, career.
we all need rebuilding of faith once in a while in our life.
rebuilding is another chance, our God is a God of another chance. give someone another chance.
Nehemiah was a visionary, the man of vision. Kingdom vision begins with a burden.
(Neh 1:4)
this burden was passed unto Nehemiah by his brother Hanani (Neh 1:3)
i pray that today i am Hanani to some Nehemiah here. somebody catch the vision.
Kingdom vision is for the welfare of the people.
Neh 2:10
check your vision. is it for the welfare of the people, it is for the kingdom advancement
same verse,
when you are out for people's welfare, you will have opposition. when you are minding your own business everyone is silent.
Neh 2:17-18 Nehemiah shared the vision with others.
 V. 19 He was mocked.
Share your vision. some may come to mock your vision. stay focused.
Godly vision is contagious. Chapter 3 the rebuidling began with everyone taking up the responsibility.
Chapter 3 is a perfect example of a healthy church.
everyone catches the vision, everyone works to accomplish the vision.
in a church when everybody is occupied doing their part for the vision, there is less contention between them.
Like Sanballat and Tobiah, who does nothing are busy demotivating others our finding faults. (Neh 4:1-3)
So we built the wall and the whole wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.
— Nehemiah 4:6
Chapter 5:1-5 pressures of life and family, due to the poverty and famine.
 v. 7 Nehemiah consulted with himself. brought solution for the problem of his people.
Chapter 6 Sanballat and Tobiah causes false rumors to spread that Nehemiah wants to be their king.
Nehemiah 6: 15 the wall was finished in 52 days.
there are 52 sundays on 2026 let us make up our mind that we will build in the year 2026

Good Friday

Joshua Generation Church

Good Friday

The day Jesus willingly gave His own life. Good Friday is observed as a day on which Jesus died.

if Jesus died, how is it good?

"we will see the goodness and God's sovereign plan. stay with me and follow the biblical timeline."

on this day Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice for the mankind.
the reason for this sacrifice is because of what happened in the Garden of Eden.
Adam disobeyed resulting in death and separation from God.
Rom 5:17-18 Jesus obeyed and brought eternal life.

In Christ we are new creation 2 Cor 5:17

When God created the creation in six days, He spoke the Word and it came into existence. He rested on seventh day.
when Jesus was on the cross, in all His pain and agony He made seven statements.

Each of the statement of Jesus and the creation of God on the particular day has lot of similarities.
we will look into them in another blog.

lets jump on to the sixth day.
what did God create on sixth day?
Man!!
Six is a number of man. (6th book of bible is  name of a man, Joshua. Joshua = Jesus.
 Jesus became Man)

what is the sixth word of Jesus?
It is finished. John 19:30

what is finished? and how does it connects with the creation of man on sixth day?
remember: "In Christ we are new creation"
still the question remains!!

what is the first miracle of Jesus?
John 2 turning the water into wine.
where did the water turned into wine? in the stone waterpot.
what was the waterpot used for? Purification of Jews.
how many waterpots were there? six (number of a man)
interestingly this is in Verse 6

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
— Ezekiel 36:26

filling up the stone waterpots upto the brim (overflow) represents the water baptism.
wine= blood.
Lev 17:11 life of the flesh is in the blood.

Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3 Except a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:5 except a man be born of water and of Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

New creation.....It is finished!
new life.... it is finished!!

"And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made."
— Genesis 1:31-2:2

God worked on creation for six days and He rested (ceased to create) on the seventh day

the last statement of Jesus was,
"Father, into your hands i commend my Spirit." Luke 23:46

In Christ we are new creation and in eternal rest with God.

Catch the vision... keep the Vision

vision

Pic courtesy: google images

Vision: natural ability to see.

Spiritual (God given) vision: supernatural ability to see far and beyond.

What you can see, you can have. God told Abraham, the land which you see, I will give you. (Gen 13:14-18)

How far are you seeing today? When you embrace a vision, the vision will embrace you. It is not you that makes the vision, but it is the vision that makes you.

Vision is going to make you.

Vision will prepare you.

Vision will change you and help you.

Catch the vision….

Where there is no vision people parish. Prov 29:18

Vision keeps the church united and active.

Church that follows the vision of the pastor will not be in maintenance mode. (Because they are not following man but following his divine vision).

One vision will keep the church going in one direction.

Every pastor has a call of God. Every call has a purpose.

Purpose is usually shown through a vision.

I pray that God will remind someone of his call and the vision.

Visionary pastor will have a missionary congregation

Vision is usually huge, impossible and unachievable through human strength.

Remember:

  • God called Noah and gave him the vision of Ark.
  • God called Abraham and gave him a vision of nations.
  • God called Moses gave him the vision of Canaan.
God is reminding someone here about his huge, impossible and unachievable vision… if that person is you…. Write down the vision…. It will give you strength (Hab 2:2)

Share the vision (Church should know their pastor’s vision)
Noah’s family accepted his vision and they were saved…. Vision saves.

New world began…. Vision gives new beginning.

Lot was blessed because he walked with Abraham. Vision draws blessings.

Maybe at the moment you don’t have a vision, till you receive one accept the vision of a visionary and be part of blessing like Noah’s family and Lot.

Constant sharing is important.
Moses constantly shared the vision of Canaan with the people of Israel in Egypt.

None of them been to the promised land. Yet,

  • Shared Vision gave them hope in bondage.
  •  Shared Vision of Canaan kept them strong.
  • Vision gave them courage to rebel against mighty pharaoh.
  • Maybe they visualized Milk and honey while eating their dry morsel.

Sharing and accepting pastor’s vision can give the congregation hope, strength and courage.

Keep the vision

"Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him." Isa 51:2

Let’s do the case study on Abraham

God spoke to Abraham,

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: Gen 12:2

When made this covenant with Abraham, He was 75 years old. (V.4)

Remember age is just a number. God can use anyone at any point of time in his life.

At the age of 86 years Abraham became father of Ishmael (God will hear) through Hagar. (Gen 16:16)

First encounter at the age of 75, father at 86. One year of pregnancy so it took 10 years for Abraham to be the father.

In ten years, Abraham became established person, got separated from Lot, rescued Lot… meaning he had powerful army.

Gen 15 Abraham already made up his mind to adopt Eliezer, that his steward will be his heir. (V2)

DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR VISION
Because we cannot give birth let us adopt.

God says,

V 4 he shall not be the heir V. 5 Showed (visualize) him the stars v.6 Abraham believed.

When you share the vision don’t allow others to tear the vision.

Lot walked with Abraham and he was blessed. Sarah tried to modify the vision

Gen 16:1-2 sometimes we are impatient like Abraham and Sarah and impatience bring forth Ishmael.

Keep the vision…. Write it down… keep sharing it.

As you continue to hold the vision, God will start giving you clarity.

God made it plain and clear that your seed will be from Sarah.

Gen 18:10,14 Next year Sarah shall have be with son.

Season of Sarah of coming over…. once barren, now mother of nations.

Plentiful Harvest

Plentiful Harvest

Have heard, now see!
Declare, new things!!

You have heard, now see all this and will you not declare it? From this time forth I make you hear new things, hidden things which you have not known. Isa 48:6 RSV

You have heard:

what did you hear? Every knee shall bow every tongue confess…. It is written. Rom 14:11

where is it written... check Isaiah 45:23 Word out of God’s own mouth.

Now see this happening:

“see” {vision} Rev 7:9 great multitude, worship together in one place…. Not individually at their homes.

God is saying, see this/visualize this happening in the churches.

This vision will change the course of your life, business, family. Remember Peter and his vision in Acts 10. How it changed the course of the ministry. God-given hazon vision (prophetic vision) will change the course of direction for many.

Hazon vision of  the churches this year is: Rev 7:9 great multitude of all language and nations

  • Vision-driven person will be more focused in life (like Israel during their bondage in Egypt their vision of Canaan kept them going). Will not do random evangelism but will have a goal to bring souls in the fellowship.
  • Vision-driven person will be an influencer. Even his social media messages will be targeted to get the souls in the fellowship (he who saves soul is wise Prov 11:30)
  • Vision-driven person will not adopt but give birth. Adoption happens when someone is unable to give birth. God is sending Sarah’s blessing. “I will return to you this time next year and your wife Sarah shall have a son” Gen 18:10 NLT
  • Vision-driven person will be a strategic giver. When you become giver, your focus is shifted from self to others and your giving shall be for soul winning.

Will you not declare?

Jesus said, Go and preach the gospel Matt 28:19 and Mrk 16:15

Vision-driven person will go and signs will follow him.

Matt 9:37-38 God is sending you as a labourer in His harvest because the harvest is plenty. So pray and preach.

Finally, you bring the harvest in the barn, you bring the soul in the fellowship.

From now you will hear and see new things:

Jer 33:3 new things…… Great and mighty things which you know not.

I pray a plentiful harvest this year of 2023

Amen

Thankful Life

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thes 5:18

All those who accepted Jesus as their saviour, they all are in Christ. and it is the will of God the Father for such to be thankful.

There are many verses in Bible that tells us to give thanks.

Besides bible, there are lots research and articles that informs us about the benefits of being a thankful person.

A thankful person is...
• Less depressed,
• Can sleep better,
• Excel in educational field,
• Have a quality friendship,
• Have better perspective towards life.

Basically, gratitude is good you.

how to form a attitude of graditude?

here are some suggestions,

create pathways
"As you think, you change rthe structure of your brain." Dr. Caroline Leaf (Neuroscientist)
we have a choice in what we think about, so lets allow the thoughts of gratefulness to fill our minds.

Choose five things
Make a daily habit to say or write five things you are thankful for. you can do it any time of the day.

Set a gratitude alarm
choose different times in the day. when the alarm goes off, ask God to bring to your mind the blessings and gifts in your life and thank HIm.

Tell someone, everyday
Talk to someone about what you are thankful for, maybe its their friendship, the nature, powerful moment with God, or an unexpected blessings you recvieved. saying it makes it more real.

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift. 2 Cor 9:15

Myself

Chandan Salvi

My story in Christ

My name is Chandan Salvi; I was born in a Christian family. On my father’s side I am fourth generation Christian and on my Mother’s side I am fifth generation Christian. I was raised in a Christian family, where every evening we religiously practiced family prayer time and reading of the bible.
My spiritual journey didn’t start with one time divine encounter, but it was a transition at different phases of my life.

** In early 90’s when our city had a revival, I experienced the move of the Holy Spirit for the first time at small group prayer time. After that reading of the bible became more exciting rather than just a religious family tradition. Study of the Word of God started becoming more interesting for me, and God started to speak to me through His written Word and through His ministers. I consistently started receiving the following verse;
”But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matt 6:33
This became a foundational verse for me.  In the process of my spiritual growth many Men and Women of God played an important role in my life. The list is too big to mention them all here, some of them are very well known all over the world, some are least known and some may not even know me. Each of them in different stages of my life have nourished and nurtured me, patiently mentored and inspired me.

**In 1997 I took water baptism; I didn’t miss the opportunity to witness Christ at the place I worked, my family and friends. During this period prophecies started coming over me for full time ministry.
**In 2001 I married Susan and have two sons and a daughter; Caleb, Abigail and Abishai, respectively.  On our wedding day we received a prophesy about full time ministry, but it was the last thing on my mind as I was working and also actively involved in the Kingdom work.

**In 2002 I was transitioned into full time for His service as pastor. Since then our God is been faithful to us.

**I completed Bachelor of Theology through correspondence.

**In 2011-2012 had an opportunity to sit under some very anointed people and complete one year of Diploma in Bible studies.

**In December 2017 Bishop Satish Raiborde recognized the call over my life and ordained me as minister of God.

“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” 1 Tim 1:12

**Kairos time

My Foundation:

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matt 6:33

My Mission & vision:

Whom (Christ) I preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that i may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Col 1:28

My Personal prayer:

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel. Eph 6:19

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servant, that with all boldness I may speak thy word, By stretching forth mine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. Acts 4:29-30

My Prayer for others:

I cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: Eph 1:16-17

The four questions of God

Begin well.... continue well.

Pic Courtesy: Chandan Salvi

Begin Well!

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. (Act 2:41)

The above verse was the result of dynamic sermon by Peter under the leading of the Holy Spirit.
the verse suggest that 3000 thousand people were added to the group of disciples. if added then they must be substracted or brought from somewhere. just like the nation of Israel was brought or delivered out of Egypt.
It was not the leadership skill of Moses that delivered Israel from Egypt and it was not the oration skill of Peter that drew the people into their fold.

It was more then human efforts.... it was divine.

we read the story of the Israel's miraculous deliverance in the book of Exodus. now the word Exodus means journey but this book is not only about the journey of Israel from the land of Egypt. it is also about the instructions to Israel regarding Community, Moral and spiritual living.

God did not leave Israel to live on their own after the deliverance. its not like God saying, "I delivered you out of the bondage now go and do what you want to do, live how you want to live."

similarly, in the New Testament, when people were convicted and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they simply didn't go away and lived their lives just as they pleased.

they continued....

Continue well!

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42)

they continued to do four things:

  • Apostles teaching
  • Fellowship
  • Breaking of Bread
  • Prayer
Now going back to the original beginning... the book of Genesis.

Gen 3:9-14 we read, God asking four questions:
  1. Where are you?
  2. Who told you?
  3. Did you eat the forbidden fruit?
  4. What is this you have done?
Today if we continue well, these four questions can be answered safely through Acts 2:42

Q. Where are you?
A. Continuing in fellowship

Q. Who told you?
A. I am being taught by the Apostles

Q. Did you eat forbidden fruit?
A. We are partaking into breaking of Bread.

Q. What have you done?
A. Been steadfast in prayer
